Dennis W   DENNIS WAKABAYASHI- Board President

Dennis Wakabayashi is a Colorado native who advises corporations on new media, digital business strategies and emerging technologies.

Personally touched by the passings of his grandfather, aunt and young cousin from cancer, Dennis has committed himself to spreading the message of empowerment and wellness that MyLifeLine.org gives to cancer patients and those around them. Having served already one year as a MyLifeLine.org board member, Dennis is looking forward to serving the next two years as Board President.

Dennis and his wife Lindsay are the proud parents of one grown daughter, Asia, and two school-aged children, Tucker, 9 and Lucy, 5.  When not  working with TEDxMileHigh.com or volunteering at MyLifeLine.org, Dennis enjoys leading the boys of Cub Scout troop #537, playing with his kids, cooking and anything related to Star Wars.

Jill Mitchell   JILL MITCHELL, PhD, LCSW- Vice President

Jill Mitchell is an oncology social worker with Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers (RMCC) in Boulder, CO.  She is also the RMCC Network Coordinator for the Seven Levels of Healing(R) Program.  Jill received a BA from Princeton University, an MA from the University of Minnesota, and an MSW from California State University - Long Beach.  In addition, Jill completed a PhD in Medical Anthropology and Psychocultural Studies at UCLA, where her research bridged principles of psychoneuroimmunology, health psychology, and medical anthropology in the study of women's experiences with advanced cancer.  

Jill feels privileged to spend her days working with people with cancer as she is continuously humbled and inspired by people's ability to find
meaning, hope and purpose through challenging times.   Outside of work,
Jill loves spending time with her nieces, exploring Colorado, attending music fests, and surfing.

   
  JASON WAGNER- Development Committee

Jason is a Tax Partner with EKS&H. He received his B.S.B.A in Accounting from Oklahoma State University and his M.T. from the University of Denver.

He is married to Brooke and they have three children. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, photography, traveling, and wine.





Joan Heller   JOAN HELLER, O.D.- Board Secretary

We have all been touched by cancer either personally or by someone we know and love.  The tools Mylifeline has to offer cancer patients, their family and friends is an invaulable resource and Joan feels priveleged to be able to work with Mylifeline.org.   She  is Colorado native and enjoys the outdoors skiing or hiking and spending time with her family and friends. 
 
Joan received her bachelors degree from the University of Clorado-Boulder and a doctorate at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.  She is currenty and optometrist at Kaiser Permanente Colorado.





John Cronin   JOHN CRONIN - Innovation Committee

John, Founder & CEO of urHub, is married with two children and has lived in Boulder and Colorado Springs prior to settling in Breckenridge.  John loves to hike, bike, camp, ski – anything outdoors in Colorado!

John has a BA in Communication Studies from West Virginia University and is a Board Member on the Breckenridge Marketing Advisory Committee and the Team Breckenridge Sports Club.





  GREGG DENHOFFER- Innovation Committee Chair

Gregg is a Relationship Manager at Key Private Bank. Gregg has a B.A. from Skidmore College and a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Gregg is married to Vicki and they have two children. He enjoys skiing, ice hockey, biking, hiking, travel, reading, and spending time with friends and family.






Marcia Donziger   MARCIA DONZIGER- Founder and Chief Mission Officer

Marcia is passionate about helping cancer patients through the treatment process.  Diagnosed with stage IIIc ovarian cancer at the age of 27, Marcia discovered how difficult it was to keep friends and family updated on her health progress while in the hospital recovering from surgery and then for 6 months of chemotherapy.  MyLifeLine.org was founded in memory of Lori Arquilla Anderson, who was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 33 and died two years later.  During her treatments, Lori and her family benefited from a website that kept them connected to a support network that grew beyond their imaginations.  Marcia saw an opportunity to make a difference for all cancer patients by creating MyLifeLine.org.

Marcia is the mother of twin boys, age 6, who are true blessings in her life.  She and her husband, Rob, live in Denver, Colorado.

Barb is a Denver native. She is self employed as a realtor with Metro Brokers. She received her undergraduate degree in Computer Systems and Management and her Masters in Telecommunication.

Barb has two sons, Michael and Jason. She is married to Richard. In her spare time she enjoys traveling to exotic places to scuba dive.


Amy Fleming   AMY FLEMING- Development Commitee

Amy is a Flight Attendant for Frontier Airlines as well as a Financial Advisor for Fleming Financial. She attended Arizona State University and majored in Finance and Accounting.

Amy is engaged to Doug and they welcomed their first son in May of 2011. Amy enjoys fly fishing, skiing, running, reading, cooking, and philanthropy.



  BOB GRAHAM - Development Committee

Bob has been married to Liz Graham for 14 years and has two daughters, Taylor, 10, and Ashley, 6, who attend Slavens Elementary School where Bob is on the board of Friends of Slavens School (FOSS).  Bob's hobbies include skiing, golf and tennis. Bob was born and raised in Denver and attended South High School where he graduated in 1989. 

Bob is a partner at the law firm of Foster, Graham, Milstein & Calisher, LLP, that he founded in 2000 with Daniel Foster. 

Bob graduated from the University of Colorado, with a B.A. Political Science in 1993 and California Western School of Law,J.D. in 1995.



Laurie Hicks    Laurie Hicks – Development Committee

Laurie is a third generation Colorado native and married to Don.  She has one daughter, Nikki who is married to Steve and they have two children; Ella-7 and Canaan-4.   Laurie enjoys snow and water skiing, traveling, racing Porsches and spending time with their grandchildren and family.

Laurie studied early childhood education at the University of Northern Colorado and Arapahoe Community College and taught preschool for 4 years before working in banking as a loan processor, executive assistant and secretary to the board.

Laurie is Past President of The Pink Ribbon Foundation - – a Colorado based breast cancer foundation.  She has co-chaired many fundraising events for cancer patients to help with their everyday life as they battled cancer.  Laurie feels very strong about the work that MyLifeLine.org is doing and wants to continue to help cancer patients until a cure is found.


Jack Hill   JACK HILL- Treasurer

Jack is a Managing Director with Digital Online Technologies, Inc (dba Credential Smart). He received his B.S. in International Business and Marketing from the University of Colorado and his MBA in Finance from the William E. Simon School at the University of Rochester.

He currently resides in Denver. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, climbing, hiking, and restoring Victorian houses.

Jack lost his father to cancer and through that experience he learned that he wanted to give back. He is excited to be giving back through service to MyLifeLine.org


     
Shalini Mathur   SHALINI MATHUR - Development Committee

Shalini, her husband and three children have lived in Castle Rock for the past five years.  Shalini enjoys being actively involved in the communities that she lives and has dedicated countless volunteer hours to many community organizations including Meals on Wheels, the Boys and Girls Club, and various school organizations.  

Shalini holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education and hopes to teach third grade after graduation.   Shalini enjoys painting and horse riding and combines these skills to the benefit of horse rescue organizations.  



Michelle Mitchell   MICHELE MITCHELL, LSW - Oncology Advisory

Michele is the very proud mother of a 13-year old son who is an eight-year brain tumor survivor.  She is also a very proud stepmother to her three stepchildren, ages 11, 13, and 16 and enjoys spending time with her husband and children.  Michele likes to go camping, boating, and horseback riding in her free time.

Michele is a Neuro-Oncology Social Worker at Children’s Hospital Colorado and is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology, with a concentration in Organizational Psychology, through Walden University.  She received her Masters in Social Work, including a Trauma Certificate, from the University of Denver in June of 2009 and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995.




Laura Perkins   LAURA PERKINS- Outreach Committee

Laura has over 15 years of direct and interactive marketing experience with Blockbuster, JC Penney, Rapp Collins, and Merkle, Inc. She received her Bachelors in marketing from Texas Tech University.

She is married to Steve and they have twin boys. In her spare time she enjoys photography.


Kim Van Deraa   KIM VAN DERAA- Development Committee

Kim is a part time Administrative Assistant for Clarity International and for Friends of Hoop. She received a Business Degree in Administrative Management from University of Wisconsin-Parkside and a Masters Degree in Sports Managements/Physical Education from Emporia State University.

She has a daughter Kaci with her partner George Karl. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, bike riding, snowboarding, exercising, and tending to her flowers and plants.

 Melissa   MELISSA BOWEN - Executive Director

Melissa is excited to join MyLifeline.org Cancer Foundation and continue her non-profit career that has spanned over 20 years. She has served in a leadership capacity with Boys & Girls Clubs and the YMCA.  She grew up Greeley, Colorado and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BS Degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Business Administration.

Melissa strives to make a difference and benefit others in her life’s work.  As the Executive Director, she believes the mission and vision are a match for her professional and personal goals and values.  This is a unique opportunity to bring her experience and knowledge to MyLifeline.org Cancer Foundation.  She aims to weave together the amazing work of the Founder and the Board of Directors to grow and expand the organization.

Melissa has recently relocated to her home state of Colorado. She is married to Todd and is a step mom to Cassie and Alex.  In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, running outdoors, and being with her cats, Sheena and Abby.

Christi Disch   CHRISTI CAHILL-  Director of Program Services

Christi is excited to be working with MyLifeLine.org. She lost her best friend Kira to acute myeloid leukemia her freshman year of college and has been working in her memory ever since.

Christi attended college at Rice University in Houston, Texas where she majored in Kinesiology. After graduating, she moved to Dallas to work for a cancer nonprofit called Heroes for Children.

Christi lives in Golden, Colorado with her husband Kevin.

 



 Enmar Hilu   ENMAR HILU-  Director of Development

Enmar found MyLifeLine.org’s mission and values to be an ideal fit.  After graduating from the University of Colorado Denver with a Degree in Political Science, Enmar entered the field of fundraising with the University of Colorado Foundation at Anschutz Medical Campus.  There he gained a strong understanding of development while successfully raising funds for 6 different programs within the School of Medicine.  He worked closely with faculty members, volunteers, donors and partnering foundations to grow programs through diverse sources of revenue.  Enmar lives in Lakewood with his wife, Ginger and two dogs, Lola & Stella.  He enjoys camping, hiking, skiing and rooting for the Broncos.

 


Tricia McEuen   TRICIA McEUEN -  Director of Administrative Support

Tricia and her husband, Steve, have been married for 25 years.  In October 2010 they moved to Castle Rock and left their 6 children and their spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends and granddogs and grandcats to fend for themselves in Michigan.  Trica’s hobbies include spending time with family, traveling, sports, red wine and working her dream job at MyLifeLine.   Tricia is a 3 year breast cancer survivor (hence the “have a little fun with chemo” pink mohawk)!

Tricia has been the Director of Administrative Support at MyLifeLine.org since January 2012.
