Where should I start?

First, I am a Christian. No word is sufficient to describe how thankful I am for what God has done and is still doing in my life. I am here only because of His mercy and His grace.

Secondly, I am a mother and my daughter, Michelle, is the sweetest girl in the whole wild world. She is a smart, wise, funny and nice girl. We love each other very much and we are close like sisters.

Thirdly, I am an engineer and a geek. I love coding and talking to computer. I love reading and learning. I read cook books and dictionary like novels.

Also, I am a cancer survivor and a cancer fighter. I was diagnosed with my first cancer, liposarcoma when I was 29 before Michelle turned to 3. I had surgery, chemo and radiation the whole nine yards. When I was 32, I was diagnosed with breast cancer during my surgery. Yes, I survived cancers (yes, plural), not once, but twice. Year 2010, after my divorce, I thought that I can start my new life again. I moved out and lived by myself. I was working on my MBA degree at night after work. I was a happy, self-contained and self-sufficient single mother.

But I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer right before my 35th birthday. What a twist in life? I must have something really special and God gave me this extremely life experience! I am going through chemo treatments right now as that is my only option at this point. My oncologist told me that I will have to do the chemo for the rest of my life and the average survival time for a case like mine is 2 years. Well, that is what the number says. I don\'t think I will follow that. At least I will do whatever it takes to stick around as long as God allows me, for my daughter. Things were going well for the first 9 months of treatment. Then it did a bad turn in December 2010. The chemo drugs stopped working and the tumors grew back, bigger than ever. It caused so much pain and problems for me, I was almost half died during the holiday and depended on pain medication to get through every single day. The insurance company made things harder by not approving my new chemo treatment drugs.

Thanks for many prayers and angels that God placed in my life to help, eventually we got it approved and I started my new line of treatment in January. I am doing a little bit better every day.

Despite my multiple cancers and my divorce, I believe that I am really blessed because God gave me a brave heart and fill my heart with faith, hope and love. God sent so many angels to help me, families, friends, and some time, even complete strangers. So, I will live, I will love, freely and fearlessly. I will enjoy little things in life every day as much as can and be thankful for every day that I woke up. That\'s my story.
